Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team as our first OT provider. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and build an OT program within a thriving mental health practice. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and families, understands the intersection of trauma, sensory processing, and emotional regulation, and is excited to collaborate with therapists, schools, and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluations and ongoing treatment for children and adolescents

  • Develop individualized, client-centered treatment plans

  • Collaborate with therapists, school staff, and caregivers to support whole-child outcomes

  • Provide services in clinic, school, or community-based settings as needed

  • Document services in compliance with ethical and legal standards

  • Contribute to the development and growth of Mackee’s OT program

  • Address areas such as:

    • Sensory Processing Challenges

    • Emotional Regulation

    • Fine Motor Skills and Activities of Daily Living

    • Trauma Related Functional Impacts

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an OT in the state of Indiana

  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred

  • Experience or interest in:

Trauma-informed care

Sensory integration

School-based services

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently while helping build a new program

Front Desk & Administrative Support Specialist

Location: Mackee Counseling
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)

We are a growing mental health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our clients. Our administrative team plays an essential role in creating a welcoming experience while helping clients navigate scheduling, insurance, and billing concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Position Summary

We're looking for a dependable, people-focused individual to join our front desk team. No prior medical office or front desk experience is required—we're happy to train the right person.

This position is ideal for someone who communicates confidently and kindly, stays organized under pressure, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. Success in this role means balancing compassion with accountability. You'll help clients understand their financial responsibilities while ensuring they feel respected and supported throughout the process. 

What You'll Do

  • Welcome and check clients in for appointments

  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients with questions

  • Communicate with our off-site billing team regarding client accounts

  • Contact clients regarding overdue balances, insurance questions, and payment arrangements

  • Maintain accurate documentation and administrative records

  • Assist therapists and fellow administrative staff with day-to-day office operations

  • Help create a warm, professional, and supportive environment for every client

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Communicates clearly, professionally, and compassionately

  • Can have difficult conversations with kindness and confidence

  • Is comfortable discussing financial matters while maintaining empathy and appropriate boundaries

  • Works well with others and values collaboration

  • Is dependable, organized, and eager to learn

  • Remains calm and professional when interacting with individuals experiencing emotional or psychological distress

  • Pays close attention to detail

  • Is comfortable learning new technology and office systems

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Previous customer service, administrative, or healthcare experience is welcome but not required
